After a 30-year teaching career, Anne found inspiration in botanical art and earned certification in Botanical Illustration at Lewis Ginter, where she also taught embroidery classes. Her work spans from delicate flower portraits to illuminated letters, landscapes, and the timeless Tree of Life design.
Anne is passionate about preserving the art of needlework as a meaningful and creative tradition. She believes that, even in today’s age of automation, embroidery remains a valuable form of artistic expression—one that brings accomplishment, joy, and a connection to future generations. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced stitcher, Anne encourages creativity and originality in design and is a Resident Artist at The Art Center of Montross.
