Introducing Susan Guilotte, Author of Bunny: Based on a True Story, Memoir

Bunny is based on a true story that unravels the mystery of author Susan Guillotte's life story. Set in the United States in the 1950s North and the 1960s South, her story reflects upon the cultural climate of the times. Anyone who is adopted, who gave up a child for adoption, or knows someone living in that special reality will love this unforgettable story.

 It is a story of growing up as an adopted child and covering nearly fifty years of genealogical search for a mystery past that opens gradually by tiny layers of truth. The journey travels through all the emotions of that life and research, and recognizes all the different aspects of adoption from all the various parts of the puzzle, such as the adopted child, the adoptive parents, the people who gave up the child, the people who work in the profession of adoption and the courts which control the people through laws. Do not peek ahead or it will ruin the mystery. Like all of life, it is a mystery.

Susan D. Guillotte has worked as a waitress, a bank teller, an accountant, a bed & breakfast owner, and a postal clerk, and she has always wanted to be a writer. Someone once told her to "write what you know," so she did. Susan lives with her husband, Newfoundland dog, and their one-eyed $3,000 "$5-cat" in Eastern Virginia. She is selling her hard cover memoir called Bunny: Based on a True Story.
